Andi Gambrill
Neurologic Music Therapist
Andi Gambrill (they/them) is a Neurologic Music Therapist currently based in Manly, NSW. Whilst studying their Masters in Creative Music Therapy at Western Sydney, Andi discovered a passion for the connections between music perception, neuroscience and human development.
Andi is neurodivergent and part of the LGBTQIA+ community, which drives their dedication to creating space for diverse and intersectional voices, within their work. Andi was inspired to focus on Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) after seeing its powerful clinical impact across neurodivergent populations, as well as applying NMT and experiencing it first-hand in their own life.
Outside of work, Andi loves spending time with their 10 year old black poodle called Pepe, sitting in Cha Dao tea ceremony with friends and hyperfixating on various topics around neuroscience, philosophy and history.
Andi presented at the 2024 Australian Music Therapy Association Conference (AMTA) and plans to continue researching, writing and speaking about the exciting, innovative work happening in the world of NMT.
Andi's Qualifications:
Bachelor of Communication (CSU), Masters of Creative Music Therapy with Distinction (WSU), Neurologic Music Therapist, Registered Music Therapist (AMTA)
